Long-term planning / French year overview
Before purchasing or commencing teaching the Primary Planning scheme of work, you first need to map out the long-term MFL plan for the academic year. Below, you will find three different long-term plans based upon a standard French curriculum from Year 3 to Year 6, a mixed year group curriculum for all year groups, and also a bespoke long-term plan, from which you can create your own completely bespoke music curriculum based upon our 24 different units. Download the long-term plan which is most applicable to your school.
Standard long-term plan (some prior learning)
Click here to download our long-term French plan for schools with some prior French learning. Don't worry if you are not teaching all year groups across KS2, as you can edit the downloadable file to delete year groups that are not applicable to your school. You can edit this file, enabling you to change the order of the units or choose different units taught for different year groups. Click the down arrow next to the unit number to change the unit. Mixed year group long-term plan
Click here to download our long-term French plan for mixed year groups (Cycle A / Cycle B). Don't worry if you are not teaching all year groups or if the mix of year groups on the template are not applicable to your school, as you can edit the downloadable file to delete year groups or add additional year groups to meet your requirements by clicking the drop-down arrow.
